1. What is the price of your macarons?
They are $2.10 each. There may be additional charges for packaging for weddings or gift boxes.
2. Do you have a minimum order?
Half dozen is the minimum order. Large or special request orders may need more advance notice.
3. What are the ingredients in your macarons?
The cookie is composed of Italian meringue (sugar syrup and egg white), almond flour and powdered sugar. Fillings are flavored buttercream (meringue and butter) or chocolate ganache. Buttercream and ganache flavorings range from fruit extracts and purees to ground rose petals and spices. Macarons are made with gluten-free ingredients and are processed in a gluten-free kitchen.
4. How big are your macarons?
Since they are an artisan product they are usually 1-1/2 inches in diameter and usually about 1 inch thick.
5. How should freshness be preserved upon purchase?
Macarons should be refrigerated as soon as possible after purchase. In a sealed plastic container they will stay fresh for a week; in the freezer they will keep for several months. They should be served cool, so it is ideal to plate them half an hour before serving.
6. Where do I pick up my order?
You can pick up at my kitchen in the West Crossroads, 1800 Central, KCMO 64108
7. Can you ship macarons outside of Kansas City?
No. Unfortunately, macarons are very delicate and deteriorate rapidly in heat and humidity. I have not found a way to ship them so that customers are satisfied with the end product or the price of overnight shipping!
8. How do you accept payment?
Credit card payments are available online with your invoice.
9. Do you have gift packaging?
Macarons are best presented in clear containers so that their beautiful colors show through. I can package 2 or 3 in a clear bag tied with a bow. I also have available clear boxes, 5-pack and 10-pack. Larger orders or bulk orders are packaged in kraft or black, moisture-resistant boxes. You can see packaging examples on the home page or on Instagram @bonmacaronkc.
10. Where can I purchase your macarons?
Bulk orders (2 dozen to several hundred) and special colors/flavors should be ordered directly from me through the website. Smaller amounts may be available at the following locations:
